Walmart to donate for volunteer hours

A volunteer puts siding on a Habitat home. If you volunteer now through July 21 and register with Walmart, a $10 donation will be made to Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne for every hour you work.

MOUNT OLIVE — Are you planning to volunteer at the Habitat ReStore or on a construction site in the next two weeks? Have you been on the fence about volunteering for Habitat? Then now is the time!

In honor of the grand reopening of its Mount Olive location, Walmart is holding a SparkGood Days of Service campaign through July 21. That means that for every hour volunteered and reported, Walmart will match it with a $10 per hour donation.

Habitat needs you to do two things to make this happen. They need you to come out to volunteer as soon as possible. Walmart is matching up to 500 hours in the community, and Habitat would like as many of those as possible to be with them.

You need to create a community member account and log your hours with Habitat. You can do this by clicking here and following the link. When you do this, you’ll need to know two things. Search for us using “Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro Wayne” or using our EIN (56-2273434) on the advanced search. The Mount Olive store number is 3701.

For more information or issues reporting your hours, please contact Habitat Volunteer/Donor Coordinator Terri Taylor at volunteer@habitatgoldsboro.org.
