Wayne Community College to hold wellness fair

GOLDSBORO — Wayne Community College’s Counseling Services and the Wayne County Mental Health Association will host a Wellness Fair to recognize May as Mental Health Awareness Month.

This event will take place on Wednesday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the courtyard outside of WCC’s Wayne Learning Center (the building on campus with the flag poles in front) or in the WLC Student Lounge in case of inclement weather. It is free and open to the public to attend.

Tables and activities will be set up for participants to engage in recreational play, learn destressing tools, participate in art therapy and wellness screenings, and more.

Community organizations such as the Arts Council of Wayne County and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program will also be part of the event, as well as other WCC departments and programs.
