Southern Wayne wins over South Lenoir

DEEP RUN — The Southern Wayne baseball team won a non-conference game at North Lenoir April 11 by an 11-7 score.

Cuyler Daly had two hits, one run, one RBI and was hit by a pitch; Alex Ferrell had two hits, one run and was hit by a pitch; Hayden Waller had two hits, two runs, one RBI, one walk, one stolen base and was hit by a pitch; Drew Sweet had one hit, which was a home run, one run and two RBI; Jake Coates had one hit, one run and one RBI; Dylan Daniels had one hit and three RBI, Brayden McKee had one hit, two runs, one RBI and one walk; Zach Aman had one run, Tyler Odom had one run, one RBI and one walk and Ella’ Boykin had one run, one RBI and two walks.

Odom was the winning pitcher with 3 1/3 innings of work. Ferrell pitched 3 2/3 innings.

The Saints are 10-5 overall and are 4-4 in conference play.
