Treser selected National Libero of the Week

MOUNT OLIVE – For the second time this season, University of Mount Olive senior libero Trevor Treser was selected the National Libero of the Week by Off the Block.

A native of Wexford, Pa., Treser averaged 4.03 digs per set with just one reception error in 11 sets played. He registered 11 digs with three assists over three sets at Queens. Treser tallied a season-high 18 digs against Lincoln Memorial before totaling 16 digs and four assists in a 3-1 win over Tusculum.

He ranks third in NCAA Division II and paces the Conference Carolinas with 3.02 digs per set. Treser has tallied double-digit digs in 15 matches and has recorded 257 digs with only 18 reception errors to boast a .964 reception percentage.

Treser becomes the first Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball player to garner the honor twice this season, while three other student-athletes in the league have received recognition from the national organization this year.

The Off the Block staff determines each award recipient. The winners are announced every week during the regular season on the Off the Block website, offtheblockblog.com. While there are other weekly national awards in college men’s volleyball, these are the only position-based weekly awards. Off the Block is a national award-winning website that launched in 2011 and is the nation’s leader in college men’s volleyball coverage.
