Spring Creek edges North Pitt

BETHEL — The Spring Creek softball team defeated North Pitt in an away non-conference game 23-22 April 12.

Sarah Hess had five hits including a home run, six runs, three RBI, one walk and three stolen bases; Mattie Staps had four hits, four runs, six RBI and two stolen bases; Emily Williams had three hits, five runs, two RBI, one walk and four stolen bases; Nhariyis Gadea-Savilla had three hits, two runs and two RBI; Heather Alexander had two hits, both home runs, four runs, five RBI, three walks and two stolen bases; Vanessa Duruttya had two hits, one run, three RBI and one stolen base and Annmarie Howard had one hit, one run, one walk and one stolen base.

Williams pitched the first five innings and Hess pitched the last two and was the winning pitcher.

The Gators are 7-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
