Habitat for Humanity to hold home dedication

Habitat for Humanity will hold a home dedication at 712 N. Alabama Ave. Thursday, Jan. 26 at noon.

GOLDSBORO — It is that time once again! As construction in the Habitat for Humanity Marshall Street neighborhood continues to move along, Habitat is ready to dedicate its next home, this time at 712 N. Alabama Ave in Goldsboro.

The homeowner, Ms. Lillie Frasier, has been so excited about this opportunity that not only did she finish her 300 sweat equity hours early, she far surpassed the minimum, and Habitat can’t wait to see her move in. Habitat home dedications are such special events as they celebrate their families and this milestone of them becoming homeowners.

If you spent time working on this home, donated toward this home or prayed for this home, Habitat wants you to join the celebration. But even if you didn’t do any of those things, Habitat still wants you to come be a part and see the impact that Habitat has on its families.

If you’d like to help Habitat celebrate with Frasier, join them on Thursday, Jan. 26 at noon at her new home at 712 N. Alabama Ave. And, of course, if you aren’t able to be there, Habitat will stream it live and have it posted on its Facebook page.

Habitat will also hold a home blessing ceremony to kick off its next build Friday, Jan. 27 at 706 N. Alabama Ave. These short ceremonies are how Habitat likes to begin each project. This event will also be streamed on the Habitat Facebook page.
