Wayne County announces holiday closings

GOLDSBORO — Several schedule changes will be taking place in observance of Christmas for Wayne County governmental operations.

County government offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 through Tuesday, Dec. 27. Offices will re-open Wednesday, Dec. 28 for normal business hours.

All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will close at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd and will re-open on the 28th for normal business hours.

The Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center will be closed the 23rd through the 27th. The senior center will re-open on the 28th for normal business hours.

The Wayne County landfill and convenience centers will be closed on the 24th and 25th. The landfill and convenience centers will re-open on the 26th for normal business hours.

Schedule changes will also take place for New Year’s.

County government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2 and will re-open Tuesday, Jan. 3 for normal business hours.

All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will be closed on the 2nd. All libraries will re-open on the 3rd for normal business hours.
