Spring Creek baseball team gets first win

WILSON — The Spring Creek baseball team picked up its first win of the season April 18 with a 10-9 conference win at Beddingfield.

Rylan Kornegay had three hits, one run and one stolen base; Jackson Lewis had two hits, two runs and one stolen base; Gio Pineda had two hits, two runs and two RBI; Harrison Sutton had one hit, three runs, one RBI, one walk and four stolen bases; Justin Raifford had one hit, one RBI and one walk; Maddox Edwards had one hit, one run and one RBI; Nicholas Smith had one RBI and Jayson Hill had a walk and was hit by a pitch.

Sutton was the winning pitcher, going 5 2/3 innings and striking out 14. Rusty Kornegay pitched one inning and Lewis pitched 1/3 inning.

The Gators are 1-8 overall and 1-4 in conference games.
