North Duplin softball team routs Lakewood

ROSEBORO — The North Duplin softball team defeated Lakewood 21-3 in an away conference game April 18.

Addy Higginbotham had four hits, three runs and one walk; Lilly Fulghum had four hits, three runs and two RBI; Kasey Jones had three hits, one run and one walk; Iala Overton had three hits, three runs and two RBI; Reece Outlaw had two hits, two runs, three RBI and one walk; Riley Hatch had two hits and two runs, M’chelle Jaco had two hits, two runs and three RBI; Ady Spence had one hit, one run, one RBI and one walk; Sara Thomas Tucker had one hit and two runs, Melany Sanchez had one hit, one run and one walk and Dana Santibaneez had one run and one walk.

Spence was the winning pitcher, tossing four innings in the run-rule win.
