Spring Creek falls to Ayden-Grifton

BETHEL — The Spring Creek softball team lost a spring tournament game 9-6 to Ayden-Grifton April 13 in a contest played at North Pitt.

Sarah Hess had three hits and three runs, Mattie Staps had two hits and one run, Emily Williams had two hits, one run and one RBI; Nhariyis Gadea-Savilla had two hits and two RBI, Heather Alexander had two hits, one run, two RBI and one walk; Vanessa Duruttya had one hit and one RBI and Emalia West had one walk.

Williams pitched a six-inning complete game.

The Gators are 7-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
