MOUNT OLIVE — After a stellar defensive performance last week and earning national recognition, University of Mount Olive senior libero Trevor Treser was named the Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Week.
From Wexford, Pa., Treser led the defensive effort and tallied double-digit digs in three non-conference matches with just one reception error. He produced 11 digs with three assists over three sets at Queens last Tuesday. Treser registered a season-high 18 digs against Lincoln Memorial this past Friday before totaling 16 digs and four assists in a 3-1 win over Tusculum. In averaging 4.1 digs per set, Treser was also chosen as the “National Libero of the Week” by Off the Block.
Treser joins teammate Jackson Lahey as a recipient of Specialist of the Week this season. The Trojans have garnered the award four times, while Treser has been named National Libero of the Week twice.
