Southern Wayne baseball team drops road game

BENSON — The Southern Wayne baseball team lost to West Johnston on the road March 31 by the score of 6-2.

Cuyler Daly had one hit and one RBI, Drew Sweet had one hit and two walks, Zach Aman had one run scored and one stolen base, Ella’ Boykin had one run scored and one walk, Alex Ferrell had one walk and one stolen base, Jake Coates had one walk, Dylan Daniels had one walk and Hayden Waller was hit by a pitch.

Tyler Odom pitched four innings and allowed one earned run, struck out two and walked none. Sweet pitched two innings and allowed no earned runs, struck out two and walked one.

The Saints are 9-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
