Southern Wayne defeats Fike

WILSON — The Southern Wayne baseball team defeated Fike in a road game March 28 by the score of 11-1.

Cuyler Daly had two hits, one run scored and two RBI; Drew Sweet had two hits, one RBI and one walk; Jake Coates had two hits, two runs scored and one RBI; Tyler Odom had one hit, one run scored and one walk; Alex Ferrell had one hit, two runs scored, one walk and two stolen bases; Ella’ Boykin had one hit, one RBI and one walk; Dylan Daniels had one hit, three runs scored, one RBI and one walk; James Graham had two runs scored, Brayden McKee had one RBI and Hayden Waller had one walk, was hit by a pitch and had one stolen base.

Sweet was the winning pitcher, working three innings allowing one earned run and two hits while striking out one and walking two. Odom pitched two innings and allowed no hits or runs while striking out two and walking two.

The Saints are 9-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
