North Johnston wins over Spring Creek

SEVEN SPRINGS — The Spring Creek softball team lost 13-6 to North Johnston March 21.

Jasmine Valentine had three hits including a home run, two RBI and two runs scored; Emily Williams had three hits, one RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases; Sarah Hess had three hits, two runs scored and three stolen bases; Mattie Staps had two hits and one run scored, Vanessa Duruttya had one hit and Heather Alexander had one hit.

Williams pitched six innings allowing nine hits with seven strikeouts and two walks. Hess pitched one inning allowing three hits and striking out one.

The Gators are 5-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
