Southern Wayne suffers first loss

DUDLEY — The Southern Wayne baseball team took its first loss of the season March 17, dropping a 12-3 decision to Hunt.

Dylan Daniels had two hits, Tyler Odom had one hit and one RBI, Alex Ferrell had one hit, one run scored and one stolen base; Ella’ Boykin had one hit, Hayden Waller had one hit, one RBI, one run scored and one stolen base and James Graham had one run scored.

Odom pitched 5 2/3 innings, Ferrell pitched 1/3 of an inning and Waller pitched one inning.

The Saints are 6-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
