Southern Wayne defeats East Wake

WENDELL — The Southern Wayne baseball team defeated East Wake 7-1 March 14 to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Tyler Odom had two hits, one RBI, one run scored, three stolen bases and a walk; Alex Ferrell had two hits, one RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base; Jake Coates had two hits and two RBI, Hayden Waller had two hits, two runs scored and a stolen base, Cuyler Daly had one hit, one RBI and one walk, Zach Aman had two runs scored and a stolen base, Drew Sweet had one walk and Ella’ Boykin had one walk.

Sweet was the winning pitcher, going seven innings for a complete game. He struck out four and walked none.
