Spring Creek defeats Southern Wayne

SEVEN SPRINGS — The Spring Creek softball team took a 17-2 win over Southern Wayne March 3.

For Spring Creek, Jasmine Valentine had three hits, four RBI and one run scored; Mattie Staps had three hits, two RBI and three runs scored; Sarah Hess had three hits, one RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base; Nhayiris Gadea-Sevilla had two hits, two RBI and one run scored; Angela Billarreal had one hit, one RBI and two runs scored; Emily Williams had one hit, two RBI, one run scored and one stolen base; Heather Alexander had one hit and two runs scored, Gianna Evans had one run scored and Vanessa Duruttya had one RBI and one run scored.

For Southern Wayne, Reagan Stribble had two hits and two runs scored, Kylie Barwick had one hit and one RBI, Lauren Summerlin and one hit and one stolen base and Jocelyn Aguilar had one hit.

Williams was the winning pitcher working five innings. Stribble pitched four innings and Aguilar one for Southern Wayne.
