North Duplin baseball wins two

CALYPSO — The North Duplin baseball team defeated East Duplin 5-2 March 2 and South Lenoir 7-6 March 3.

Against East Duplin, Holden Williams had two hits, one RBI and one run scored; Richard Noble had one hit, one RBI, one run scored and three stolen bases; Hunt Pate had one hit, two RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base; Brady Byrd had one hit and one run scored, Wesley Holmes had one hit, Eric Rosas had one RBI and one stolen base and Branden Reyna had one stolen base.

Rosas pitched 6 2/3 innings for the win and Noble pitched 1/3 inning.

Against South Lenoir, Noble had three hits and three RBI, Byrd had two hits, one RBI and one runs scored; Holmes had two hits, one run scored and one stolen base; Esteban Santos-Clark had one hit and two runs scored, Austin Duff had one RBI, Tyler Johnsey had one RBI, Williams had one run scored and Rosas had a stolen base. Noble was the winning pitcher.
