Extension Master Gardener Association offering college scholarships

WAYNE COUNTY — The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Wayne County is accepting applications for its college scholarship program.

Scholarships are in the amount of $500 or $1,000. The number of scholarships granted will depend on funds available along with the number of qualified applicants. Applicants can be high school seniors or full-time college students (two or four year) pursuing a degree in horticulture or an agriculture-related degree.

The application deadline is March 15.

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Wayne County Scholarship is to assist a Wayne County high school senior or full-time college student who has the desire to work in the horticulture or agriculture industry. The scholarship is based on academic achievement, leadership characteristics, career plans in horticulture or agriculture and future plans for enhancing the quality of life for themselves as well as their communities.
