Wayne County announces holiday closings

GOLDSBORO — Several schedule changes will be taking place for Wayne County agencies this week in observance of Thanksgiving.

County of Wayne government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25. Offices will re-open Monday, Nov. 28 for normal business hours.

All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and will remain closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Library branches will be re-open on Monday, Nov. 28 for normal business hours.

The Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Senior Center will re-open Monday, Nov. 28 for normal business hours.

The Wayne County landfill and convenience centers will be closed Thursday. The landfill and convenience centers will re-open Friday, Nov. 25 for normal business hours.

The Wayne County Animal Shelter will be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Animal Shelter will re-open on Monday, Nov. 28 for normal business hours.
