Davies receives weekly conference golf honor

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 26) – Following a career-low round on Tuesday in Florida, University of Mount Olive senior Elise Davies was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Week Oct. 26.

A native of Wrexham, Wales, Davies led the team in scoring for the first time this year after carding a 10-over 154 (81-73) to place 21st overall in a field over nearly 100 golfers. She delivered a career-best round after carding a one-over 73 in the final round after totaling three birdies, including a pair on the front nine. She also ranked among the top of the field with 23 combined pars over the two-day tournament.

In her career, Davies holds a career scoring average of 82.15 strokes over 27 rounds played in 13 events.

Davies earns the league honor for the first time in her career and joins teammate Emma Leclercq as a recipient of the accolade during the fall season.
