The Downtown Mount Olive Christmas Tree Lighting and activities will be held Friday, Dec. 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Southern Bank parklet, located at 800 N. Breazeale Ave. In addition to Santa Claus and the Christmas Tree lighting, there will be movies, snacks and cookie decorating. All events are free to attend and there will be a small fee for popcorn and drinks. Mt. Olive Pickle Co. will be offering free PicklePAKs. Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for movies. The tree and the town tower will be lit by Mayor Kenny Talton.
