The Men of Faith In Character organization is sponsoring its 13th Annual Back-to-School Celebration and free book bag giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 4-7 p.m. at Nelson Street Park, 358 Nelson St. in Mount Olive. All children from K through 8th grade will be given a bookbag with supplies. A hygiene kit will be provided by All the King’s Children Foundation. Free food and games will also be provided. They anticipate giving out more than 500 book bags. If anyone would like to contribute, they can forward their donation to Men of FIC, P.O. Box 1066, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
