A “Home Grown: Dorothy Cotton” program will be held Saturday, March 18 at the Wayne County Museum, 116 N. William St., Goldsboro. This free special program for kids and adults honors Goldsboro’s own Dorothy Cotton, her work with Dr. Martin Luther King’s inner circle and her role in the Civil Rights Movement. At 1 p.m. there will be a readers theater performance of an original play “Home Grown”, arts and crafts, a Women’s History scavenger hunt, educational handouts and activities and light refreshments.
