Free entrepreneurship workshop series planned at University of Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE – Have you ever wanted to start your own business, but were unsure of the steps to take?  The Lois G. Britt Agribusiness at the University of Mount Olive is hosting a five-part series on entrepreneurship.  

The series is geared towards individuals interested in starting a business, growing an existing business, or just wanting to gain helpful information and connections.  Each workshop will be offered at two convenient times for schedule flexibility: 11 AM to 12:30 PM and from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in Raper Hall.  The dates and topics are as follows:

  • February 8 – Take the Leap into Entrepreneurship 
  • March 14 – How to Write a Business Plan 
  • April 11 – Marketing Basics 
  • May 2 – Small Business Finances
  • May 30 – Building the Online Presence

“In recent years, Wayne County and Mount Olive area leaders have been working to support small businesses and entrepreneurs develop new businesses, create careers, and bring new opportunities to Wayne County,” said  Director of the Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center Edward Olive .  “This workshop series will provide opportunities and chart a path to support entrepreneurs with a unique focus on rural and agricultural businesses. We are appreciative of the collaboration and sponsorship from the School of Agriculture and Biological Sciences, the Tillman School of Business, and several community partners, for making this event possible.”
