Boil water notice in effect

MOUNT OLIVE — Residents of Mount Olive will be under a boil water notice until at least Tuesday, Aug. 1.

Water was shut off from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 30 until 6 a.m. Monday, July 31 to repair a 12-inch water main in front of Robert’s Machine Shop that was causing a loss of about 50,000 gallons per day.
