Southern Wayne defeats Fike

DUDLEY — The Southern Wayne baseball team won a home conference game over Fike 7-4 May 5.

Drew Sweet had two hits, two RBI and one run; Alex Ferrell had two hits (including a home run), three RBI, two runs and one stolen base; Ella’ Boykin had two hits, one run, two stolen bases and was hit by a pitch; Jake Coates had one hit, Cuyler Daly had one RBI and one walk, Brayden McKee had one run and one walk and Hayden Waller had two runs, one walk and one stolen base.

Sweet was the winning pitcher with five innings pitched. Waller pitched two innings.

The Saints are 15-7 overall and 9-5 in conference games.
