MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive men’s golf team featured a pair of players on the All-Conference Carolinas Teams, highlighted by a second-team selection in freshman Rasmus Ronnberg.

Additionally, fellow freshman Max Lindblad received third-team all-conference honors, as the Trojans have placed at least two players on the all-conference teams in seven of the last eight years.

Ronnberg paced the team with a scoring average of 73.83 strokes while competing in eight events. He posted six top-20 finishes during his first year with the program, including placing in the top 10 four times on the individual leaderboard. He registered a team-best finish in four events, while ranking sixth in the Conference Carolinas in scoring average. Ronnberg claimed medalist honors at The Trojan to become the first golfer to win an individual title since April 2022. In his first appearance at the league championship, Ronnberg rallied in the final round to place 16th overall following a final round 73.

Lindblad ranked second on the team and eighth in the Conference Carolinas in scoring average. He recorded four top-five finishes this season while competing in eight events for Mount Olive. Lindblad delivered a team-best finish in three events and registered his best-finish of the year at the Jay Jennison Cup after tying for second overall.
