North Duplin defeats Hobbton

CALYPSO — The North Duplin baseball team won a home conference game over Hobbton 8-5 May 2.

Tanner Kornegay had two hits, one RBI, two walks and one stolen base; Richard Noble had two hits, two runs, one RBI, one walk and two stolen bases; Hunt Pate had one hit and one run, Brady Byrd had one hit, two runs, one walk and three stolen bases; Wesley Holmes had one hit, one run and one stolen base; Tyler Johnsey had one hit and three RBI, Branden Reyna had one run, Austin Duff had one RBI, Garris Warren had one run, one walk and one stolen base and Eric Rosas had one walk.

Rosas was the winning pitcher, tossing six innings and Esteban Santos-Clark pitched one inning.

The Rebels are 19-3 overall and 9-1 in conference games.
