Spring Creek drops two

SEVEN SPRINGS — The Spring Creek baseball team lost to Wayne Preparatory Academy 11-9 in a non-conference home game April 21 and to North Johnston 17-1 in a conference road game April 20.

Against Wayne Preparatory, Jackson Lewis had two hits, two runs and one stolen base; Harrison Sutton had two hits, one run, two RBI, one walk and one stolen base; Rylan Kornegay had one hit and one run, Gio Pineda had one hit and one RBI, Orrin Tickles had one hit, one run and one RBI; Maddox Edwards had one hit and one RBI, Rusty Kornegay had two runs and one walk, Justin Raifford had one run and one walk and Jayson Hill had one run, one RBI and one walk.

Rusty Kornegay pitched five innings and Edwards pitched two.

Against North Johnston, Lewis had two hits, one RBI and one stolen base; Sutton had one hit and one stolen base, Edwards had one hit and one run and Hill had one walk.

Lewis, Pineda and Hill all pitched for the Gators.

Spring Creek is 1-10 overall and 1-5 in conference games.
