Saints softball team rolls past Fike

WILSON — The Southern Wayne softball team traveled to Fike March 28 and came away with an 18-5 win.

Mckenzie Strickland had four hits, four runs scored, three RBI, one walk and five stolen bases; Laura Summerlin had three hits, three runs scored, two RBI, one walk and one stolen base; Gracie Hinson had three hits, four runs scored, one RBI, one walk and one stolen base; Kylie Barwick had two hits, one run scored, three RBI, one walk and two stolen bases; Morgan Brimberry had two hits, one run scored, one walk and two stolen bases; Reagan Stribble had two hits, two runs scored and one walk; Megan Long had one hit, one run scored, one RBI, two stolen bases and reached on an error; Jocelyn Bond had one hit, two runs scored, one walk and two stolen bases and Jocelyn Aguilar had one RBI and one walk.

Stribble was the winning pitcher. She went six innings for a complete game, struck out eight, walked none and allowed no earned runs.

The Saints are 6-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
