UMO announces exhibition with Down East Wood Ducks

MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive baseball program will be competing in an exhibition contest versus the Down East Wood Ducks at Grainger Stadium in Kinston on April 4 at 6 p.m.

The Wood Ducks will be selling tickets for the exhibition game at the cost of $10 for general admission. Tickets will go on sale March 20 at milb.com/down-east/tickets/single-game-tickets as well as by phone at 252-643-5305 or at the gate on game night.

The Wood Ducks enter their sixth season as the Class-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The Wood Ducks play all home games at Grainger Stadium in Kinston. Before moving to North Carolina, the Rangers’ Class A affiliate had been located in Adelanto, Calif. as the High Desert Mavericks for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Prior to the Mavericks, the Rangers were in the Carolina League as the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from 2011-2014.
