Southern Wayne routs East Wake

WENDELL — The Southern Wayne softball team defeated East Wake 17-3 March 14 and improved to 3-3 on the season.

Reagan Stribble had three hits, four RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases, Jocelin Aguilar had three hits, three RBI and one run scored; Laura Summerlin had two hits, two RBI, one run scored and one stolen base; Megan Long had two hits and one run scored, Morgan Brinberry had two hits and two runs scored, Gracie Hinson had two hits, one RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base; Mckenzie Strickland had two hits, two RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base, Kylie Barwick had one hit, one RBI and one run scored; Avery Jennette had one hit, one RBI and one run scored; Alyssa Darden had one hit, one RBI and one run scored and Jocelyn Bond had one hit and three runs scored.

Stribble was the winning pitcher with a five-inning complete game. She allowed no earned runs, struck out eight and walked three.
