Spring Creek softball wins two

SEVEN SPRINGS — The Spring Creek softball team defeated Southern Wayne 11-7 at home March 8 and won at Hobbton 7-6 March 7.

Against Southern Wayne, Sarah Hess had four hits, four runs scored and two stolen bases; Emily Williams had three hits, two RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases; Jasmine Valentine had two hits, three RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base; Mattie Staps had two hits, three RBI and two runs scored; Annmarie Howard had one hit, one RBI and one stolen base and Nhayiris Gadea-Savilla had one hit.

Williams was the winning pitcher, working 6 2/3 innings. Hess pitched 1/3 inning.

Against Hobbton, Hess had four hits, one RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base; Williams had two hits, one RBI and two runs scored; Vanessa Duruttya had two hits, Valentine had one hit, four RBI, two runs scored, one walk and one stolen base; Heather Alexander had one hit, one walk and one stolen base and Staps had one RBI.

Williams was the winning pitcher with a complete game. The Gators are 4-0.
