Southern Wayne defeats Goldsboro

GOLDSBORO — The Southern Wayne softball team defeated Goldsboro 8-6 March 9.

Laura Summerlin had three hits, one RBI, one run scored, one walk and one stolen base; Makayla Smith had three hits and one run scored, Morgan Brinberry had three hits, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases; Gracie Hinson had two hits, one run and two walks; Jocelyn Bond had two hits, one RBI, one run scored and one walk; Megan Long had one hit, one RBI, one run scored and two walks; Reagan Stribble had one hit, one run scored and one stolen base; Jocelin Aguilar and one hit, one RBI and one walk and Kylie Barwick had one walk.

Stribble was the winning pitcher. The Saints are now 2-3 on the season.
