Aycock edges Southern Wayne girls

PIKEVILLE — The Southern Wayne girls’ basketball team dropped a tough 46-44 decision at C.B. Aycock Feb. 10.

Jamaiya Bass lad the Saints with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists; Ta’Niyah Glaspie had 12 points and eight steals, Elaina Lane had nine points and six rebounds, Nygeria Thompson had six points and six rebounds and Kyren Strong had four points.

Southern Wayne dropped to 16-7 overall and 10-4 in conference play.
