UMO suffers loss to Newberry

FLORENCE, S.C. – In the opening match of the spring slate, the University of Mount Olive women’s tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss against Newberry at the City of Florence Invitational on Feb. 3.

The Wolves clinched the match victory by posting four wins in the singles session. Senior Ingrid Montserrat battled in a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 loss in the first position. In the second slot, senior Liza Voloshyna fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 before freshman Laura Servien suffered a 6-1, 6-1 loss in the fifth singles. Junior Jessica Aylward was dealt a 6-2, 6-2 defeat in the sixth position.
