Mount Olive sets MLK Day schedule

MOUNT OLIVE — The Town of Mount Olive offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Offices will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 at 8 a.m.

The recyclable center will also be closed and will re-open on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 8 a.m.

Household garbage, recyclable and yard waste collection will be as follows: Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s route will be collected on Wednesday and Thursday and Friday’s routes will not be affected.

Anyone who has a water or sewer emergency during the holiday should dial 919-658-5031, option 2 and they will be connected to non-emergency dispatch.
