Town of Mount Olive sets holiday schedule

MOUNT OLIVE — The Town of Mount Olive has announced its holiday schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 through Tuesday Dec. 27 for the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 8 a.m.

The recycling center will also be closed Dec. 23 through Dec. 27 and will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 8 a.m.

Offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2 for New Year’s and will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 8 a.m. The recycling center will follow the same schedule.

For the week of Dec. 19 through Dec. 23, household garbage and yard waste will be collected on the regular schedule Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Dec. 20. Thursday’s route will be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Friday’s route will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 22.

For the week of Dec. 26 through Dec. 30, Monday’s route will be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Tuesday’s route will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 29. Thursday’s route will be collected on Friday, Dec. 30. Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 31.

For the week of Jan. 2 through Jan. 6, Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Tuesday’s route will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 4. Thursday, Jan. 5 and Friday, Jan. 6 collections will be on the regular schedule.
