UMO field hockey remains No. 7 in latest poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After registering a pair of shutout wins the previous week, the Trojans remained at No. 7 in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Coaches Poll, which was released by the organization Nov. 8.

The University of Mount Olive field hockey program extended the longest winning streak in Division II to 12 after posting victories over Wingate and Lander. The Trojans boast a 12-3 overall mark with an undefeated 12-0 record in South Athletic Conference play. UMO has already secured the No. 1 seed in the Piedmont Division and claimed a bye directly to the semifinals of the league tournament.

Kutztown jumped two positions in the rankings to secure the top spot for the first time this season. The Golden Bears are riding a 10-match winning streak with victories over five nationally-ranked teams. Shippensburg remained slotted second this week and East Stroudsburg also tied for second in the poll and dropped one position. West Chester and Millersville continued in the same spots to round out the top five.

The SAC still features a pair of teams in the top 10 rankings, as Converse stayed at No. 8 in the poll.
