Information sessions being scheduled for WCC Accelerated Nurse Aide course
GOLDSBORO — Information sessions are now being scheduled for those interested in taking an accelerated Nurse Aide class.
Wayne Community College will offer two eight-week Nurse Aide I courses in the spring semester. Individuals who wish to enroll in one of these courses must attend a mandatory meeting about the course. They should contact Terrie Wynn at 919-739-6935 or tjwynn@waynecc.edu to set the meeting.
Through 120-plus hours of classroom, lab and clinical components, the course introduces the basic nursing assistant skills required to provide personal care for patients, residents or clients in a health care setting. It prepares students for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program examination necessary for certification and listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry.
Classes will be taught 1-5 p.m., Monday through Thursday on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro. The first course is set for Jan. 9-March 1 and the second will be held March 3-May 2.
