Dangler is SAC Offensive Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – After totaling five points in league play last week, University of Mount Olive freshman midfielder Addison Dangler was named the Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

A freshman from Manassas, Va., Dangler finished the week with two goals and one assist, as the Trojans posted a 2-0 mark in conference action. She registered an assist on a perfectly placed through ball to teammate Delia Allwood in a 2-0 win at Belmont Abbey on Tuesday night. Dangler capped the week with a two-goal performance over the weekend after scoring twice in the first half in a 5-0 victory over Converse.

A 5-foot-1 freshman, Dangler ranks third on the team with 10 points and four goals this season in 12 matches played with four starts. She was selected for the first time in her career for the league accolade and is the fourth UMO player to garner the offensive honor this year.
