Leclercq earns weekly conference honor

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Following a runner-up finish in North Carolina, University of Mount Olive senior Emma Leclercq was named the Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.

Leclercq placed second overall at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational after shooting a nine-over 151 (74-77) to finish just two strokes back while playing at the Country Club of Salisbury. She tied for fourth in the field of more tha 50 golfers with 21 pars plus three birdies over two rounds of play. The 2021 Conference Carolinas individual champion recorded her first top-10 finish of the year while the Trojans tied for fourth overall in the team standings.

A native of France, Leclercq holds a career scoring average of 77.74 strokes in 18 events. She is a two-time all-conference recipient with four collegiate wins and a career-low round of 67.

Leclercq claims the conference accolade for the fourth time in her career after receiving the honor three times in 2021.
